Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Most volunteers have no previous knowledge and find the process of becoming a museum docent or receptionist an easy transition. If you love history you will find the Voice of America has a fascinating and meaningful history yesterday and today. Exit surveys from museum guests report this is one of the best guided tours they have experienced.

We have extensive and easy to understand study material. Soon you will begin to shadow an experienced docent to observe firsthand the comfortable environment and ease of conducting a tour.

Museum hours are Saturdays and Sundays Noon-4 PM. We ask that docents serve a minimum of two days/month, more if you wish. You decide when.
